Seth Rogen is the latest victim to brave the infamous hot sauce gauntlet on the newest episode of "Hot Ones." In this episode, the comedic actor sat down with host Sean Evans to tackle ten progressively spicier wings, each one slathered with a different hot sauce.
As always, the show began with a little bit of background information on Rogen's career and what he's been up to lately. He discussed his work on the upcoming "Lion King" movie, as well as his involvement in the recent movement to legalize marijuana. Once the initial pleasantries were out of the way, it was time to get down to business.
The first wing was smothered in "Chipotle Tabasco" sauce, which Rogen described as being "pretty damn mild." He seemed to handle it with ease, even though he admitted that he's not particularly good with spicy food. As the interview continued, the wings got hotter and hotter, with sauces like "El Yucateco" and "Pain is Good" pushing Rogen's taste buds to their limit.
One of the most entertaining parts of the episode was watching Rogen's reactions to each new sauce. He flinched, he squirmed, and he even broke out in a sweat at one point. But through it all, he managed to maintain his sense of humor. He joked about the sauces being weaponized, compared his face to a tomato, and made some hilarious faces that will no doubt become reaction GIFs in the near future.
The wings continued to ramp up in heat until they reached the show's signature sauce, "The Last Dab." This sauce is made with a blend of peppers, including the infamous Carolina Reaper, and boasts a Scoville rating of over 2 million. Rogen had heard about this sauce before and was understandably nervous about trying it. But he soldiered on and took a big bite, immediately regretting it. He described the sensation as "an electric shock going through my body," adding that he felt like he had just broken through the surface of the sun.
Despite the pain, Rogen managed to tough it out and even finished the last wing. As he downed a glass of milk to help ease the burn, he reflected on the experience and admitted that he had underestimated just how hot the wings were going to be. He also gave props to Evans for being able to handle the same sauces without breaking a sweat.
Overall, this was one of the funniest and most memorable episodes of "Hot Ones" to date. Rogen's good-natured humor and willingness to push himself to the brink made for a truly entertaining viewing experience. Whether you're a fan of spicy food or not, this episode is definitely worth checking out.
