Through breathtaking footage, viewers get an up-close look at the incredible creatures that inhabit these wild and unforgiving landscapes.

Each episode of Hostile Planet focuses on a different habitat, showcasing the creatures and the unique strategies they use to survive. Grylls and Liu take viewers on a journey to some of the world's most remote and extreme locations to witness the incredible resilience of animals in the face of adversity.

In the episode titled "Arctic," audiences get an intimate look at the animals that call the frozen landscape home. From polar bears and narwhals to the smallest of creatures living beneath the ice, the series showcases the incredible adaptations these animals have made to survive in a place where temperatures dip to -60 degrees Fahrenheit.

The episode "Grasslands" takes viewers to the vast plains of Africa, where massive herds of wildebeest and zebras must contend with predators and harsh weather conditions. Grylls and Liu show the importance of teamwork and the struggle of competing for limited resources as they observe the annual migration of these animals.

In "Jungles," the series takes a closer look at the lush and diverse ecosystem of the Amazon rainforest. Grylls and Liu venture deep into the jungle to discover some of the most elusive and fascinating creatures on Earth, including jaguars, creepy crawlies, and colorful birds.

The "Deserts" episode showcases some of the most unforgiving environments on the planet. Grylls and Liu highlight the remarkable adaptations of animals such as camels, lizards, and kangaroos, which can survive for weeks without water.

In "Mountains," the show explores the breathtaking landscapes of towering peaks and delicate ecosystems. Grylls and Liu follow animals such as snow leopards, mountain goats, and stags, revealing the challenges they face in adapting to life in thin air and extreme temperatures.

Finally, the "Oceans" episode takes viewers on a journey to the depths of the ocean, where incredible creatures lurk in the darkness. Grylls and Liu explore the challenges faced by animals such as sharks, whales, and deep-sea creatures and shine a light on the impact humans have on these fragile ecosystems.
