Ep 1. Episode 1

In Hospital Playlist season 1 episode 1, we are introduced to five doctors who have been friends since medical school and now work at the same hospital in Seoul, South Korea. First, we meet Dr. Lee Ik-jun, a general surgeon who is also a single father to his adorable young son, U-ju. After dropping U-ju off at daycare, he heads to work where he performs a successful surgery on a patient.

Next, we meet the kind-hearted Dr. Ahn Jeong-won, a pediatric surgeon who works tirelessly to save a young girl's life. His colleagues praise him for his exceptional skills and he is clearly respected by everyone in the hospital. We also see Dr. Yang Seok-hyeong, an aloof and somewhat distant doctor, as he performs a challenging surgery on an older patient.

Then, we meet Dr. Chae Song-hwa, a talented and respected neurosurgeon who is also a skilled musician. She is the only female doctor in the group and is highly respected by her male colleagues. Lastly, we meet Dr. Kim Jun-wan, a prickly and straight-laced cardiac surgeon who is not afraid to speak his mind.

Throughout the episode, we see the doctors interact with their patients and each other as they navigate the ups and downs of working in a hospital. They deal with difficult diagnoses, complex surgeries, and personal struggles outside of work. However, through it all, they lean on each other for support and maintain their close friendships.

Hospital Playlist episode 1 sets the stage for the rest of the season and introduces us to a group of highly-skilled doctors who are not only dedicated to their patients, but also to each other. The show does an excellent job of balancing the medical drama with the personal lives of the characters, making it a must-watch for fans of both genres.
