Perfect Peter's Pen Pal is the seventh episode of the second season of Horrid Henry. In this episode, Perfect Peter receives a pen pal from France, a girl named Clemantine. Peter is thrilled about this and can't wait to write to her. Meanwhile, Horrid Henry is up to his usual shenanigans and decides to find the perfect pen pal for himself.
Henry's first attempt to find a pen pal is by writing a letter to a famous athlete in hopes of receiving a response. However, when Peter finds out, he chastises Henry for not following proper pen pal etiquette. Peter then proceeds to give Henry a lesson on how to properly write to a pen pal, which Henry doesn't take too kindly to.
Determined to find a pen pal, Henry sets his sights on Clemantine. He tries to convince Peter to let him write a letter to her, but Peter is hesitant. Henry then decides to take matters into his own hands and sneaks into Peter's room to steal the letter from Clemantine. However, when he opens the letter, he finds out that Clemantine actually thinks Peter is "horrid" and wishes she could be friends with someone less perfect.
This news delights Henry, who sees an opportunity to finally bond with Peter over their shared "horridness". He shows Peter the letter and Peter is devastated to find out that his pen pal thinks he's too perfect. Henry tries to cheer Peter up by suggesting they both write letters to Clemantine, pretending to be each other. Peter is initially hesitant, but eventually agrees.
When Clemantine receives the letters, she is confused but pleased. She thinks that Henry is actually Peter and vice versa, and commends them both for finally breaking out of their perfect and horrid personas. However, when the truth is revealed, she becomes angry and breaks off their pen pal relationship.
In the end, Henry and Peter learn a valuable lesson about being true to themselves and not changing who they are to please others. They make amends and decide to be each other's pen pals instead.
This episode explores themes of friendship, self-acceptance, and honesty. It also highlights the dynamic between Perfect Peter and Horrid Henry, and how they navigate their relationship as siblings with vastly different personalities. Overall, Perfect Peter's Pen Pal is a fun and engaging episode that will resonate with both children and adults.
