As the day progresses, Henry's hiccups become worse and he starts to despair of ever getting rid of them. However, in a stroke of luck, he finds that eating a spoonful of sugar does the trick and he is finally able to get rid of the hiccups.
The episode ends with Henry feeling relieved and happy, and even forgiving Margaret for her teasing. He also learns that sometimes the best way to deal with a problem is to be patient and keep trying until you find a solution.
