Horrid Henry Season 1 Episode 36 - Horrid Henry and the Hideo Video
In this episode of Horrid Henry, our favorite not-so-sweet character is up to his usual shenanigans. Henry is obsessed with a new video game called Hideo Video and spends all his time playing it instead of doing his homework or chores. When his parents find out, they try to ban the game, but Henry is determined to keep playing.
The episode opens with Henry sitting in front of the TV, controller in hand, completely absorbed in the game. His little brother Perfect Peter tries to get him to play a board game, but Henry brushes him off. When his mom tells him it's time to do his homework, Henry tries to find any excuse to avoid it. He even resorts to hiding under his bed and pretending to be sick.
Finally, Henry's parents have had enough and tell him that he can't play Hideo Video anymore. Henry is furious and decides to take matters into his own hands. He sneaks into Peter's room and steals his piggy bank so he can buy his own copy of the game. When he realizes he still needs more money, he starts doing odd jobs for his neighbors.
Meanwhile, Perfect Peter is having a good time playing with Henry's friends who are happy to have someone to play games other than Hideo Video with. However, Henry is so focused on his game that he doesn't even notice his friends calling for him.
When Henry finally gets his hands on the game, he's thrilled to play it in peace. But his joy is short-lived when he realizes that the game isn't as fun as he thought it would be. He starts to get frustrated with the game and even throws his controller across the room in a fit of rage.
After a few failed attempts, Henry decides to ask his little brother Peter for help. Peter is hesitant at first, but Henry's pleading eventually convinces him to play the game with him. And it turns out that Peter is a natural at the game, beating Henry at every turn.
In the end, Henry learns an important lesson about the value of spending time with his family and friends instead of being consumed by his obsession with the game. He even convinces his friends to try out some other games and they all have a good time together.
Overall, Horrid Henry and the Hideo Video is a fun and entertaining episode that teaches kids about the importance of balance and perspective. It's a great addition to the Horrid Henry series and one that is sure to delight both kids and adults alike.
