Horrid Henry season 1 episode 14, titled "Horrid Henry's Birthday," follows Henry as he eagerly anticipates his birthday. In typical Henry fashion, he expects to receive a plethora of gifts, but things don't go as planned when his family forgets his special day. With no presents or celebration in sight, Henry decides to make the most of the situation and sets out to make his own fun on this disappointing birthday.
The episode kicks off with Henry waking up on his birthday excited and ready for celebrations. However, he quickly realizes that nobody in his family has remembered his special day. Determined to make the most of the situation, Henry proceeds to barge into his brother Peter's room, singing Happy Birthday to himself, and demanding that Peter makes him breakfast in bed. Peter, still half-asleep, grumbles and reluctantly obliges.
As the day goes on, we see Henry trying to drop hints to his parents and friends that it's his birthday, to no avail. Henry's parents are too busy playing with their new tablet, while his friends are more interested in playing with their new toys than celebrating his birthday. Henry starts to feel neglected and forgotten and decides to take matters into his own hands.
Henry visits the park and sees his school rival Margaret, who seems to be having the time of her life on her birthday with her friends. Feeling jealous, Henry returns home and starts to plot his revenge. He decides to pretend that it's Margaret's birthday when she comes over to play, hoping to ruin her special day just like his own has been ruined.
However, things don't go according to plan. As he tries to sabotage Margaret's birthday, he ends up ruining their friendship instead. After a stern talking-to from his mother, Henry realizes the value of true friendship and apologizes to Margaret, making up with her just in time for his own surprise birthday party.
The episode ends with Henry finally getting the birthday celebration he had been hoping for, complete with presents, cake, and friends. He learns an important lesson about the true value of birthdays and the importance of cherishing the people in his life.
Overall, "Horrid Henry's Birthday" is a heartwarming episode that showcases Henry's silly antics and mischievous nature, while also incorporating important lessons about friendship, forgiveness, and the true meaning of birthdays.
