Hometown Horror is a spine-chilling TV series that premiered on the Travel Channel in 2019. Alan Alves and Mary Schaefer are the field correspondents who investigate these towns and their haunted stories. The production crew does an excellent job of mixing found footage, witness interviews, and reenactments to bring the ghostly tales to life. The use of night-vision cameras to capture paranormal activity adds an extra layer of creepiness that adds to the overall atmosphere of the show.

Additionally, the host and the correspondents do an excellent job of presenting the stories in a natural and engaging way. They don't force the supernatural aspect of the stories but instead guide the audience through the town's history, highlighting key events and legends that contribute to the town
