Ep 4. Stuck in the Mud

Once the plane is in a stable position, the Raneys work on stabilizing the injuries of the homesteaders and preparing them for the evacuation. They carefully map out their route, which involves crossing a treacherous river and hiking through rugged terrain. They construct a makeshift stretcher to carry the injured homesteaders and take turns carrying the heavy load. The journey is long and arduous and puts their physical and mental capabilities to the test.

Finally, after hours of carrying the injured homesteaders through the rugged landscape, the Raneys reach the nearest landing strip, where they have arranged for a medevac. The homesteaders receive medical attention and are safely transported to the hospital. The Raneys have completed yet another rescue mission, showcasing their resilience, resourcefulness, and determination.
