Tim Taylor is back once again in the popular sitcom Home Improvement! In season 3, episode 6, we see Tim has been fighting for weeks to get a hot rod engine for his car. His wife, Jill, is getting fed up with his constant tinkering and decides to take matters into her own hands.
Meanwhile, their son, Brad, is trying to win over the affection of Ashley, a new girl at school. When Jill discovers that the girl's father is a car enthusiast, she sees an opportunity to help out her son and husband.
The family decides to invite Ashley's family over for dinner, in hopes of impressing her father with Tim's car projects. However, things don't go quite as planned when Tim's engine catches on fire during a demonstration.
To make matters worse, Ashley's father is unimpressed with Tim's car and ends up bonding more with Brad than with Tim. This doesn't sit well with Tim, who is used to being the center of attention when it comes to cars.
Throughout the episode, we see the usual comedic mishaps that occur within the Taylor family, including Tim injuring himself while trying to fix a leaky faucet and his brother, Marty, making an unwelcome appearance.
As the episode comes to a close, we see Tim admitting to Jill that maybe he has been a little too obsessed with his car and that he needs to start prioritizing his family more. He even offers to take Brad out on a driving lesson, which leads to a heartwarming moment between father and son.
Overall, "Crazy For You" is a typical Home Improvement episode, filled with humor, family drama, and Tim's signature grunts. It's a reminder that even though Tim may be a "Tool Time" star, his family always comes first.
