Ep 18. Is There a Doctor in the House?

Hogan's Heroes follows a group of Allied prisoners of war who use their wit and cunning to sabotage the efforts of their German captors during World War II. Season 3, Episode 18 is titled "Is There a Doctor in the House?" and revolves around the character of Andrew Carter, a demolitions expert within the group.

The episode begins with Carter taking ill with a high fever and suffering from hallucinations. Hogan and the rest of the team quickly realize that he needs medical attention but they cannot risk taking him to the nearby German hospital. Instead, they hatch a plan to bring a German doctor to their camp.

Using a fake message from high command, Hogan persuades the German doctor to come to Stalag 13 under the guise of evaluating the health of the POWs. Once at the camp, Hogan and the others swipe the doctor's briefcase, which contains various medical supplies, including antibiotics that could save Carter's life.

The group then attempts to diagnose Carter's illness and determine the appropriate treatment. However, without access to proper medical equipment and with limited knowledge of medicine, they struggle to figure out what is wrong with him. In a desperate move, they sneak into the German hospital to obtain a blood sample from a patient with a similar illness.

With the blood sample, they are finally able to diagnose Carter and administer the antibiotics. However, they soon learn that the German doctor has realized that his briefcase was stolen and is on his way back to Stalag 13 to confront them.

The group quickly comes up with a plan to create a diversion while Hogan and Kinch sneak into the doctor's car to retrieve the stolen briefcase. In a tense moment, they narrowly avoid being caught by the doctor and make their escape.

In the end, Carter makes a full recovery and the team pulls off another successful mission against the Germans. "Is There a Doctor in the House?" showcases the resourcefulness and ingenuity of Hogan and his team, as well as the risks they must take in order to accomplish their goals.
