During World War II, Colonel Hogan and his team of Allied prisoners of war at Stalag 13 carry out secret missions to aid the war effort and undermine the Germans. Season 3 episode 1, titled "The Crittendon Plan," sees the bumbling British flier Lt. James Crittendon return to Stalag 13 with a new plan to escape. However, his incompetence and disregard for Hogan's plan puts the entire operation in jeopardy.
Crittendon arrives at the camp with the news that he has been promoted to major and has a new plan to escape. However, his bragging about it alerts Hogan to a new target that he can use to aid in the war effort. Hogan hatches a plan to get Klink to unwittingly pass on information about the aircraft to the Allies.
As usual, Hogan's team uses their wits and cunning to outsmart the bumbling Germans and carry out their top-secret missions. In "The Crittendon Plan," viewers are treated to the classic blend of humor and intrigue that made Hogan's Heroes such a beloved show during its original run.
Overall, season 3 episode 1 of Hogan's Heroes is an enjoyable and entertaining addition to the show's long list of memorable episodes.
