June and Doug are a couple who have been married for 42 years. They both used to be avid collectors, but their habit has turned into an extreme hoarding problem that has taken over their entire home. June describes their house as "a disaster area," filled with mountains of debris, clothes, and clutter. It has gotten so bad that they can no longer use their kitchen or bathroom, and even sleeping in their own bed has become impossible.

Their adult daughter, Jenny, has tried to intervene in the past, but her attempts to help have been met with resistance from her parents. Now, Jenny has called in the Hoarders team for assistance. The team arrives at the house to find a shocking mess. There is barely a clear path to walk through the home and the entire house reeks of garbage and clutter.

The team begins by asking June and Doug why they have held onto so much stuff, and they explain that they have a sentimental attachment to many of their possessions. They also speak about the difficulties they have faced in life, including health problems and financial struggles. The team empathizes with their struggles but explains that their extreme hoarding has become a danger to their safety.

The initial cleanup proves to be a huge challenge. The team discovers that June and Doug have been hoarding animal waste and the floors and walls are covered in filth. They wear hazmat suits and respirators as they wade through the mess, filling up dumpster after dumpster with debris. The team also alerts animal control authorities to come to the property and take care of the cats and other animals living in the home.

As they begin to make progress, June and Doug start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. They become emotional as they realize how much their hoarding problem has affected their loved ones and themselves. They also express their gratitude for the Hoarders team, who they now see as their only hope for a better living space.

Throughout the episode, family members come to visit and offer support. Their daughter, Jenny, who initiated the cleanup, is emotional as she sees the state of her parents' home and reflects on how their hoarding has affected her own life. Jenny's brother and his family also visit and offer help, with the entire family working together to try and make a difference.

In addition to the cleanup, the Hoarders team also brings in a therapist to help June and Doug work through their attachment to possessions. They talk about how they can maintain control over their possessions without letting them take over their home and their lives.

By the end of the episode, the transformation of June and Doug's home is astounding. After a week of hard work, the Hoarders team has cleared out the clutter and debris, revealing a clean and spacious home. June and Doug are overjoyed as they move back into their newly organized living space. They are now committed to keeping their home clean and clutter-free and working to repair the damage that their hoarding has caused in their family relationships.

Overall, the episode of Hoarders featuring June and Doug portrays the heartbreaking reality of extreme hoarding and offers hope for those struggling with the problem. Through the hard work and dedication of the Hoarders team, June and Doug are able to make a fresh start and regain control of their home and their lives.
