Ep 5. Sometimes The Patient Dies

In Highway Thru Hell season 2 episode 5 titled "Sometimes The Patient Dies", the crew of Jamie Davis Heavy Rescue faces their toughest challenge yet. A semi-truck carrying a load of lumber has crashed through the guardrail and is dangling precariously over a 200-foot drop.

The situation becomes even more dire when the heavy-duty tow truck that is brought in to help with the rescue breaks down, leaving the crew with limited resources to work with. As time ticks by, the team must come up with a plan that will allow them to lift the semi-truck back onto the road without causing any further damage or injury.

Tempers flare as the crew tries to work together to come up with a solution, but their determination to save the driver and the cargo keeps them focused amidst the chaos. Finally, after grappling with the challenges for hours, the team is able to successfully pull the truck back onto the road and extricate the driver from the wreckage.

But even with the rescue complete, the emotional toll of the situation is evident on the faces of the crew members. The episode ends with a reminder that despite the challenges faced by the team, they will always keep pushing forward to help those in need on the highways of Canada.
