Ep 4. Manhunt

In Highlander season 5 episode 4, titled "Manhunt," our protagonist Duncan MacLeod finds himself in the midst of a deadly game of cat and mouse. The episode opens with MacLeod attending a fundraiser for the local opera house, where he meets Carl Robinson, a thief who has just stolen a valuable diamond from a wealthy businessman. MacLeod is suspicious of Robinson's intentions, but before he has a chance to confront him, the thief slips away into the night.

The next morning, MacLeod is out for a walk when he witnesses a car accident. He rushes to the scene, only to find that it was caused by Robinson and his accomplice, who are attempting to flee the city with the diamond. MacLeod tries to intervene, but Robinson manages to get away.

Determined to catch the thief, MacLeod enlists the help of his mortal friend Charlie DeSalvo, who also happens to be a police officer. Together, they begin a city-wide manhunt for Robinson, following clues and trying to anticipate his next move.

Meanwhile, Robinson is on the run, desperate to escape the clutches of both MacLeod and the police. He is aided by his girlfriend, Laura, who tries to convince him to give up the diamond and turn himself in. But Robinson is convinced that he can get away with his crime if he just stays one step ahead of his pursuers.

As the chase heats up, MacLeod begins to question his own motives. Is he really just trying to apprehend a criminal, or is there a deeper connection between him and Robinson? And when the two finally come face to face, will MacLeod be able to resist the temptation to take justice into his own hands?

"Manhunt" is a thrilling episode of Highlander, full of pulse-pounding action and suspenseful plot twists. It showcases the always-compelling dynamic between MacLeod and his mortal friends, as well as the classic Highlander themes of justice, mortality, and the never-ending battle between good and evil.
