First Snow / Snow Dazed is an animated children's show which aired in 2004 and ran for 2 seasons. In season 1 episode 9, the Higglytown gang, which includes Wayne, Kip, Twinkle, and Eubie, are excitedly waiting for the first snowfall of the season. As they eagerly await the snow, they are busy planning all the fun activities they can do in the snow, such as building snowmen and having snowball fights.
After the first snowfall arrives, the gang heads out to the snowy outdoors to enjoy all the fun and games they planned. But things don't go quite as smoothly as they had hoped. First, they have trouble building a snowman due to the snow being too powdery and having a hard time packing. Next, they realize they don't have enough supplies to make snowballs for their snowball fight.
As they try to figure out what to do next, they come across a group of penguins who are also enjoying the snowy weather. The penguins have a unique way of playing in the snow, which involves sliding on their bellies. The Higglytown gang is intrigued and decides to give it a try.
Sliding on their bellies turns out to be a lot of fun, and they spend the rest of the day sliding around in the snow. But as the day comes to an end, they realize that they have gotten so caught up in sliding that they forgot to savor the other things that snow has to offer.
They decide to take a break from sliding and take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the snowfall. They gather together to watch the sunset and take in the sparkle and shine of the snow on the ground. As they do, they realize that there are so many different ways to enjoy the snow and that each one is special in its own way.
With the sun setting and their bellies full of hot cocoa, the gang heads back home, feeling grateful for the fun and memorable day they had. They also feel excited to try out some of the other snow activities they didn't get to do this time around.
In First Snow / Snow Dazed, the Higglytown Heroes learn that there is more to winter than just snowball fights and snowman-building. They learn to appreciate the unique and unexpected ways that snow can bring joy and fun into their lives. This episode is a great reminder to kids (and adults!) to slow down and savor the special moments that come with each season.
