Haruo is starting to face the consequences of playing games instead of studying as he receives low grades on a test. However, his love for gaming continues to grow as he meets with his gaming rival, Oono, at an arcade. Despite their initial awkwardness, they quickly fall into a game of "Street Fighter II."
As they play, Haruo begins to notice the subtle differences in Oono's gameplay and becomes determined to become a better player himself. He spends hours at the arcade practicing and studying strategies, much to the annoyance of his friend, Hidaka, who worries about his lack of focus on school.
Meanwhile, Haruo's relationship with Hidaka becomes even more strained as she becomes jealous of his obsession with Oono. She decides to challenge him to a game of "Final Fight" in an attempt to win his attention back.
As the episode progresses, Haruo must navigate his love for gaming and his growing feelings for both Oono and Hidaka. His love for gaming is tested as he begins to realize that he may need to focus more on his studies in order to achieve his goals.
In the end, Haruo must choose between his love for gaming and his desire for a successful future. Will he be able to find a balance between his passions and responsibilities, or will he be forced to make a difficult sacrifice? Find out in this exciting fourth episode of Hi Score Girl!
