Haruo finally earns enough money to buy his own arcade game console, but it turns out to be a counterfeit. Despite this setback, Haruo remains determined to master Guile in Street Fighter II and takes on Akira once again. Akira, now more vocal, gets frustrated by Haruo's persistence and decided to teach him a lesson by beating him mercilessly. However, Haruo refuses to back down and persists until he finally manages to execute Guile's signature Sonic Boom move.
Meanwhile, Koharu faces her own challenges as she struggles to fit in with her classmates. Despite their initial hostility, Koharu manages to win them over with her video gaming skills, making friends with other students who share her passion.
As Haruo begins to gain a reputation as a skilled Street Fighter player, Akira's father becomes increasingly concerned about his daughter's association with a boy from a lower social class. He forbids Akira from seeing Haruo, leading to a confrontation between the two.
Despite their differing social backgrounds, Haruo and Akira bond over their love of video games. As they play together, they begin to understand each other better, and their relationship becomes less antagonistic.
The episode ends with the two playing a game of Karate Champ, with Akira showing Haruo some moves that help him to improve his gameplay. As they play, it becomes clear that they are developing a genuine friendship, and that their shared love of gaming may bring them closer together than anything else.
