Ep 6. No Dogs Allowed

In this episode of Hi-De-Hi!, the staff of Maplin's Holiday Camp must deal with a new policy that prohibits bringing dogs onto the premises. While some members of the staff are disappointed, they know that it is their job to enforce the rule. However, resident dog lover, Gladys, is finding it incredibly difficult to do her job satisfactorily when she keeps discovering guests smuggling their dogs onto the site.

Meanwhile, a new holidaymaker, Major Phipps, arrives at Maplin's, and is not shy about letting everyone know that he is expecting the highest standards of service during his stay. This creates additional pressure for the staff, especially when the Major's dog, Sniffer, starts causing trouble.

Spike, the resident comedian and jack-of-all-trades, tries to befriend Sniffer and win over the Major, but he quickly learns that Sniffer is not a fan of his clownish antics. When Sniffer starts running away and getting into mischief around the site, Spike is blamed for the chaos.

The staff also have to deal with an eccentric guest who insists on booking a room for his pet parrot, Captain Flint. This requires a bit of creative thinking from the staff, as they try to accommodate the unusual request without breaking any rules.

As the episode progresses, tensions rise between the staff and Major Phipps, who is becoming increasingly unhappy with the state of affairs at Maplin's. The staff are also struggling to keep up with their duties, especially as they try to keep an eye out for any guests who might be bringing dogs onto the site.

Despite their best efforts, Gladys discovers yet another family who have brought their furry friend along for the holiday. It seems like the no-dogs policy is being flouted left, right, and centre, and the staff are struggling to keep up with the demand.

As the episode nears its conclusion, there are a series of hilarious mishaps involving the troublesome pets, much to the chagrin of the staff and the Major. In the end, the staff manage to resolve the issues and ensure that everyone has a memorable holiday (including the dogs!) while also staying within the site's rules and regulations.
