Duggee, a big friendly dog, is the leader of The Squirrel Club, an activity group for littles ones. Duggee is always there with a hug, happy to give out a Leaf Badge, or a Honey Badge or a Glue Badge or anything else his motley assortment of friends might need to have fun stretching themselves, trying new things and learning new skills. In the second episode of Hey Duggee season 2, The Squirrels are outside playing when they spot a leaf buried in the sandpit. They soon discover that it's not just any leaf because it's a skeleton leaf. Excitedly, they run to show Duggee who comes up with the bright idea of making some pictures using the leaf as inspiration.
Working together they make prints, sticking bits of leaf together, and even making a giant leaf by lying on the floor next to one another in the shape of its veins. Hennie seems to get in a bit of a tangle with his prints, but with some help from Happy he works his way through the process and ends up with a pretty cool looking picture. By the time everyone’s pictures are fixed and displayed, it’s clear that the leaf has been a great inspiration.
But, when the wind picks up and blows all the pictures away, the Squirrels are left with a very important decision to make: should they find the pictures and stick them back up, or start all over again? To help make their choice, they decide to go on a little adventure to the place where the leaf came from. As they walk, they discover a whole world of leaf shapes, sizes, colors, and textures. And when they finally reach the big tree the leaf came from, they have an idea that will make everyone very happy.
Hey Duggee season 2 episode 2 is full of fun, adventure, and cooperation. The Squirrels show that working together can help them overcome even the biggest of obstacles. The leaf badge is a great way for kids to explore different textures and shapes that they might not normally notice. Duggee's humor and charm add to the fun and provide a positive example for little ones to follow. In the end, everyone learns about the beauty of nature and the importance of working together as a team.
