Duggee is a big, lovable dog who runs a club for preschoolers, the Squirrel Club. In each episode, Duggee and the squirrels earn a different badge by learning new things, being helpful, and having fun.
In season 1 episode 28, titled "The Sheep Badge," the Squirrel Club is outside playing when they come across a herd of sheep. The sheep are eating grass and minding their own business, but the squirrels are fascinated by them. They decide that they want to try herding the sheep like farmers do. But to do that, they need to learn all about sheep and how to herd them.
Duggee is happy to help and introduces the squirrels to a friendly sheep named Wooly. Wooly teaches the squirrels all about sheep and what they need to be happy and healthy. She shows them how to tell a healthy sheep from a sick one, what food they like to eat, and how to keep them safe from predators.
Next, Duggee takes the squirrels to meet a shepherd named Dave. Dave is an expert at herding sheep, and he's happy to teach the squirrels how to do it too. He shows them how to use a shepherd's crook to guide the sheep, how to train a sheepdog to help, and how to avoid hurting the sheep while herding them.
With all this new knowledge, the squirrels are ready to try herding the sheep themselves. They put on their best farmer outfits and get to work. But herding sheep isn't as easy as it looks. The squirrels quickly learn that sheep are strong-willed animals who won't be pushed around. They have to be patient and persistent, and they have to work together as a team.
After a few false starts, the squirrels finally succeed in herding the sheep into their pen. They're thrilled with their success and proud to earn their Sheep Badge. But they're also grateful for the experience of learning about sheep and how to care for them. They realize that being a farmer is hard work, but it's also satisfying and important.
As always, the episode ends with a celebratory dance with the "stick song" and the squirrels wearing their new Sheep Badges. Duggee is thrilled with their success and proud of their hard work. The squirrels are happy and tired, and they can't wait to see what badge they'll earn next.
"The Sheep Badge" is a fun and educational episode that teaches preschoolers about farming, livestock, and teamwork. It's also a heartwarming episode that showcases the importance of hard work and perseverance. The characters are lovable and relatable, and the animation is colorful and engaging. It's a great addition to the Hey Duggee series, and a must-watch for any young viewer.
