In the second episode of the second season of Hey Dude, entitled "Battle of a 100 Bucks," tensions run high as the Bar None Ranch staff compete against each other in a series of challenges for the chance to win $100.
The episode opens with the arrival of a new staff member, Kyle Chandler, who is immediately challenged to a game of checkers by ranch hand Ted. As the competition heats up, Kyle reveals himself to be a skilled player, and ultimately emerges victorious.
Excited by the prospect of winning big, the staff members at the Bar None Ranch decide to hold a series of competitions, with the winner taking home $100. The challenges include everything from ping-pong and horseshoes to barrel racing and even a pie-eating contest.
As the day progresses, tensions begin to rise among the staff members, with everyone determined to come out on top. But as the competitions become increasingly heated, it becomes clear that winning isn't everything, and friendships and teamwork are more important than any amount of money.
Meanwhile, Melody attempts to teach a group of unruly children how to ride horses, but when they refuse to listen to her instructions, she is forced to come up with a creative solution to get them to pay attention.
In the end, the staff members learn a valuable lesson about the importance of working together and supporting each other, no matter the outcome of the competition. And while some members of the team walk away with the prize money, everyone comes out a winner in the end.
