Ep 11. Tour de Pond/Teacher's Strike

In Tour de Pond, Arnold and Gerald decide to enter the annual soapbox derby race, which takes place on a dangerous hill leading down to the park pond. Arnold is excited to build a car, but Gerald is more interested in winning. When their car falls apart during testing and they decide to rebuild it, Arnold becomes frustrated with Gerald's lack of creativity. However, they eventually compromise and build a unique car that impresses the other racers. During the race, they face tough competition from Wolfgang, the bully of the neighborhood, who will do anything to win. This episode showcases the importance of teamwork and creativity when trying to reach a common goal.

In Teacher's Strike, the teachers at P.S. 118 go on strike over a salary dispute, leaving the students with a substitute teacher who doesn't take her job seriously. The kids quickly realize they miss their regular teachers and decide to take matters into their own hands. They create a picket line outside the school and even meet with the superintendent to voice their concerns. However, when the superintendent doesn't budge, the kids come up with a plan to get their teachers back to work. This episode highlights the power of standing up for what's right and fighting for what you believe in.
