Ep 8. The List/The Haunted Train

In the first half of this Hey Arnold! episode entitled "The List," Arnold and Gerald become convinced that they are on a hit list of bullies after finding a mysterious note with a list of names on it. The two boys spend the day in fear, trying to avoid any potential attacks from the other kids on the list. Meanwhile, Helga is desperate to be included on the supposed hit list, as she believes that being targeted by bullies is the ultimate sign of respect. As the day goes on, Arnold and Gerald's paranoia reaches a fever pitch until they discover the true purpose of the list.

In the second half of the episode, "The Haunted Train," the gang decides to take a journey on an old abandoned train that is rumored to be haunted. Despite their initial excitement, things start to go awry when the train turns out to be in much worse condition than they thought. Not long after they begin the ride, strange occurrences begin to happen, such as the train taking off on its own, a ghostly hand appearing out of nowhere, and mechanical issues causing the train to derail. The kids must work together to figure out what is causing the hauntings and fix the train before it's too late.
