Ep 5. Tabula Rasa

In "Tabula Rasa," the fifth episode of season 4 of Heroes, the characters continue to search for a way to reverse the effects of Samuel's carnival and restore everyone's memories. Peter and Sylar (who is currently inhabiting Matt Parkman's body) team up to investigate a series of strange murders in which the victims seem to have been killed by their own abilities. Claire discovers a shocking secret about her father's past, while Hiro and Ando embark on a dangerous mission to rescue Mohinder from captivity.

The episode starts with Peter and Sylar arriving at a crime scene where the victim has been killed by his own powers. They realize that the killer is someone with the ability to control people's minds, who is making them act out their worst impulses. Peter realizes that Sylar's presence in his mind might make him immune to this ability, and they set out to find the killer before he strikes again.

Meanwhile, Claire discovers a long-hidden secret about her father when she finds an old file at his office. The file contains information about an experimental drug that was supposed to give people abilities, but instead caused fatal side effects. Claire realizes that her father was involved in the experiment and may have caused the death of innocent people. She confronts him about it, but his response leaves her with more questions than answers.

Elsewhere, Hiro and Ando are on a mission to rescue Mohinder, who has been kidnapped by Samuel. They sneak into the carnival disguised as clowns and manage to find Mohinder, but they are soon discovered and forced to use their powers to fight their way out. Mohinder manages to escape, but Ando is captured and taken prisoner.

As the episode comes to a close, Sylar and Peter track down the mind-controller and engage in a tense confrontation that leaves Sylar struggling to control his murderous impulses. Claire confronts her father again, this time getting closer to the truth. And Mohinder, Hiro, and Ando are reunited, but their victory is short-lived as they realize that Samuel is planning something big and dangerous.

Overall, "Tabula Rasa" is a suspenseful and action-packed episode that raises the stakes for the characters and sets up some intriguing plotlines for the rest of the season.
