Lucy and Chuck Connors Have a Surprise Slumber Party is the thirteenth episode of the sixth season of Here's Lucy, a sitcom that aired from 1968 to 1974. The show starred Lucille Ball as Lucy Carter, a widowed working mother who shared an apartment with her two children and her brother-in-law. In this episode, Lucy's daughter Kim (played by Lucie Arnaz) has a crush on Chuck Connors, a famous actor and former professional athlete. When Lucy learns that Connors is staying at a hotel nearby, she arranges for Kim to meet him. However, things don't go as planned, and Connors ends up spending the night at Lucy's apartment.
The episode begins with Lucy and her best friend Mary Jane (played by Mary Jane Croft) discussing Kim's crush on Chuck Connors. Mary Jane suggests that Lucy try to arrange a meeting between Kim and Connors, since he is staying at a hotel nearby. Lucy agrees and makes several failed attempts to contact Connors, including calling his hotel room and showing up at his press conference disguised as a photographer. Eventually, she manages to convince Connors to come over to her apartment to meet Kim.
When Connors arrives, Kim is thrilled to see him and they hit it off right away. However, Lucy's plans to chaperone the meeting are disrupted when she gets a call from her brother-in-law Harry (played by Gale Gordon), who needs her to come over and help him fix a broken pipe. Lucy reluctantly leaves Kim and Connors alone, telling them that they can stay up and watch TV as long as they like.
Throughout the night, Lucy and Harry encounter various mishaps while trying to fix the pipe, including getting soaked by water spraying out of a broken valve and accidentally flooding the apartment below them. Meanwhile, back at Lucy's apartment, Kim and Connors are having a great time watching TV and snacking on popcorn. Eventually, they fall asleep on the couch together.
When Lucy and Harry finally finish fixing the pipe in the early hours of the morning, they return to find Kim and Connors snuggled up on the couch, fast asleep. Realizing that they can't leave Connors there all night, Lucy decides to set up a makeshift bed for him in the living room. She quickly puts some sheets and blankets on the floor next to the couch and helps Connors get comfortable. She then heads off to bed herself, leaving Connors and Kim to spend the rest of the night together.
The next morning, Lucy wakes up to find that Kim and Connors are still asleep on the couch. She tries to wake them up gently, but they both seem too exhausted to move. Lucy then realizes that she has a big problem: Connors is supposed to be filming a movie on location that day, and he's already missed his morning call time. Panicking, Lucy decides to take matters into her own hands and calls the movie studio pretending to be Connors' assistant. She manages to convince the studio to delay filming for a few hours, giving Connors time to get to the set.
As Connors gets ready to leave, Lucy tries to thank him for being such a good sport about everything. He tells her that he had a great time and that he thinks Kim is a wonderful girl. Lucy is happy to hear this and thanks Connors for being so kind to her daughter. They say goodbye, and Connors heads off to start filming his movie.
In the end, Lucy and Kim share a heartwarming moment as they reflect on the events of the previous night. Lucy tells Kim that she's proud of her for being so brave and for following her heart. Kim hugs her mother and tells her that she loves her. The episode ends on a sweet note, with Lucy and Kim enjoying a leisurely breakfast together as a family.
