In Here's Lucy season 3 episode 22, titled "Lucy and Carol Burnett," we see the beloved comedians Lucy and Carol team up for a night of hilarity. Lucy is thrilled when she hears that Carol will be performing in Los Angeles and immediately gets tickets for herself and her family to attend the show.
However, when Lucy finds out that Carol is staying at the hotel across the street from her own apartment, she can't resist the opportunity to try and meet her comedy idol. Lucy enlists the help of her brother-in-law Harry to sneak into the hotel and deliver a note to Carol, but their plan is foiled when they accidentally end up in the wrong room and are mistaken for burglars.
After a series of hijinks involving mistaken identities and madcap chases, Lucy finally gets a chance to meet Carol and even gets invited to join her on stage for a special performance. The two women end up stealing the show with their comedic chemistry, and the audience goes wild.
Despite some initial nerves, Lucy proves herself to be a natural at improvisational comedy, and the crowd can't get enough of her. Carol is impressed by Lucy's talent and tells her that she should consider pursuing comedy as a career. Lucy is flattered but humbly declines, saying that she's just happy to be able to make people laugh.
The episode ends with Lucy and Carol taking a bow to thunderous applause, cementing their status as two of the greatest comedians of their time and reminding us why they continue to be beloved even today.
