In Here's Lucy season 2 episode 6, titled "Lucy and the Andrews Sisters," Lucy takes her job as a secretary at the Carter's Unique Employment Agency to a whole new level when she ends up booking the Andrews Sisters for a night club performance. However, when she realizes that the singer she booked is not the actual Andrews Sisters but three imposters, Lucy goes on a mission to track down the real group before it's too late.
The episode kicks off with Lucy at work, answering phones and scheduling appointments at the employment agency. Her boss, Mr. Carter, tells her that he has a special assignment for her, and hands her a list of names for a performance he wants her to book for a night club. Lucy rips the paper in half, accidentally putting the Andrews Sisters on the "yes" list and throwing away the other half. She starts making phone calls to book the trio, but soon discovers that the Andrews Sisters are all out of work and not taking bookings at the moment.
Not wanting to disappoint her boss, Lucy hires three women to impersonate the famous trio. She dresses them up to match the real Andrews Sisters and brings them to the night club, but they end up making a mess of the performance. To make matters worse, the real Andrews Sisters show up to watch the show and are not happy with the imposters.
Lucy realizes her mistake and goes on a mission to find the real group. She visits their old apartment and ends up being mistaken for the fourth Andrews Sister, who was never actually part of the group. Lucy uses her charm and comedic timing to convince the women that she's their long-lost sister, and they end up inviting her to their rehearsal space.
When Lucy arrives at the rehearsal space, she sees that the Andrews Sisters are no longer in sync with each other and are not the same group they used to be. However, after Lucy convinces them to perform at the night club, they start to find their groove again. Together, they make a smashing performance that wows the crowd and saves the night.
The episode "Lucy and the Andrews Sisters" was a classic example of Lucy's signature storytelling and comedic charm. It showed the lengths she would go to in order to make things right and how her mistakes could sometimes lead to unexpected opportunities. The guest appearance by the Andrews Sisters was a great addition to the show, and their performance of "Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen" was a standout moment in the episode. Overall, it was a fun and entertaining episode that fans of the show and classic comedy would enjoy.
