In the first episode of season 4 of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, titled "Beanstalks and Bad Eggs," our hero Hercules and his loyal companion Iolaus encounter a group of villagers who are terrified of giants. The villagers have been sacrificing their livestock to the giants in order to keep them from attacking the village. Hercules and Iolaus decide to investigate and find out what's really going on.
As they travel through the countryside, they come across a beanstalk that leads up into the clouds. Using their incredible strength and agility, they climb up the beanstalk and find themselves in a strange and mysterious land ruled by a wicked sorcerer named Magus.
Magus has been using his magic to control the giants and force them to do his bidding. He has also been kidnapping children from the villages below and using them to harvest eggs from the giant's nests, which he then sells in the marketplace.
Hercules and Iolaus manage to rescue one of the captive children and learn from her that Magus plans to use the giant's eggs to create an army of monstrous creatures to take over the world.
With the help of a giant named Goliath, Hercules and Iolaus launch a daring raid on Magus's stronghold to put an end to his evil plans once and for all. Using their wits and their fighting skills, they face off against Magus and his minions in an epic battle between good and evil.
In the end, Hercules and Iolaus emerge victorious, freeing the villagers from fear and putting an end to Magus's reign of terror forever. But as they descend the beanstalk and return to the mortal world, they can't help but wonder what other dangers and adventures await them in the future.
