Xenon orders his men to plant some of Myles' goods in Hercules' bag while he is sleeping. When Hercules wakes up, he discovers the incriminating evidence and is arrested by the city guard. Lyla and Myles try to clear Hercules' name, but they are powerless against Xenon's influence.

Hercules is thrown into prison, where he meets a man named Iolaus, who becomes his loyal sidekick throughout the series. Together, they hatch a plan to escape from prison and prove Hercules' innocence.
