Ep 16. Hercules and the Girdle of Hippolyte

Hercules: The Animated Series follows the adventures of young Hercules as he attends school at the Prometheus Academy and learns to become a hero while also dealing with everyday teenage problems.

In season 1 episode 16, titled "Hercules and the Girdle of Hippolyte," Hercules and his friends are tasked with retrieving the legendary Girdle of Hippolyte. The girdle, which is said to give its wearer great strength, was stolen from Queen Hippolyta by the warrior woman Atalanta. In order to retrieve the girdle, Hercules and his friends must journey to the island of Themyscira, where the Amazon warriors reside.

Upon arriving on the island, Hercules and his friends are greeted by the fierce Amazon warrior, Atalanta. Atalanta challenges the group to various physical feats in order to prove their worthiness to retrieve the girdle. Hercules and his friends showcase their strength and agility, impressing Atalanta.

After passing Atalanta's tests, Hercules and his friends are led to the Amazon queen, Hippolyta. Hippolyta is initially skeptical of the group's intentions but eventually allows them to retrieve the girdle, on the condition that they return it once they have accomplished their task.

With the girdle in hand, Hercules and his friends make their way back to the mainland. Along the way, they are ambushed by Atalanta and a group of her warriors who wish to take the girdle for themselves. A fierce battle ensues, but with the help of the girdle, Hercules and his friends are able to emerge victorious.

Once the battle is over, Hercules and his friends return the girdle to Queen Hippolyta, keeping their promise. Queen Hippolyta is pleased with the group's honor and bravery, allowing them to keep the friendship they've established with the Amazon warriors.

"Hercules and the Girdle of Hippolyte" is a fun and action-packed episode that follows Hercules and his friends on a quest for an ancient artifact. With plenty of adventure, humor, and heart, this episode is a great addition to the Hercules: The Animated Series collection.
