Amy is struggling to come up with ideas for her new book and seeks guidance from her mother, Marion, who is visiting from Europe. Meanwhile, Ty and Jack work on a project together, but their progress comes to a halt when a mysterious man arrives at Heartland, claiming to be a long-lost relative. As Amy and Lou investigate the man's story, they uncover family secrets and lies that threaten to tear the family apart.
