Ep 18. Be Careful What You Wish For

Amy is over the moon when Ty finally returns home from Mongolia and pops the question. But while she is over the moon, the future father-in-law, Tim Fleming, is less excited. While everyone is celebrating, Tim is brooding over the fact that he is about to lose his daughter to Ty, and he thinks it's too early for the couple to be getting married, even though they have been together for almost three years.

Ty's return sparks the sharing of new ideas and plans with Jack, who still feels there is much he can teach Ty when it comes to ranching. Ty and Amy's plans to get married on the ranch and Jack's suggestion to purchase their own piece of land put the young couple into crisis mode as the two sets of parents have a rare battle of the wills over the young couple's future, but who will triumph remains to be seen.

Things take an unexpected turn for Mallory, when news of a tragedy hits home and she is forced to deal with the consequences of her actions, even as Lou is forced to make a difficult decision about her boutique. Meanwhile, things are moving fast in the lives of Georgie and Adam, and the young equestrian's dreams of competing are hanging by a thread as the young couple struggles to come to terms with the direction of their lives.

As the bride and groom-to-be work out their futures in their own way, little does anyone realize what the future holds for the ranch and the rest of the family. A surprise visitor to Heartland has everyone wondering what's going to happen next, as Ty and Amy's world is turned upside down. Ty's suspicious of the stranger's connection to Amy, and with the visitor's presence coinciding with an inexplicable change in Amy's behavior things look set to get a lot more complicated for everyone.
