Amy and Ty take on a new client, Mr. Hanley, who is struggling to cope with his aging mare. As they work to rehabilitate the injured animal, Amy uncovers a deep-seated emotional attachment between Mr. Hanley and his horse that she must navigate while treating the mare's physical injuries. Meanwhile, Lou's ex-husband, Peter, returns to Heartland with his new girlfriend, which stirs up old feelings and makes things tense with Lou. Georgie struggles to find her place on the rodeo circuit and enlists the help of Jack to prepare for her next competition. As tensions rise and emotions run high, the Heartland family must come together to navigate these difficult dynamics and learn to communicate with one another.
