Following a quick lunch break, Dr. Erin, Dr. Ben and their team are off to their next veterinary emergency; they are responding to a call from a pet owner who's beloved dog has swallowed something toxic. With their expertise and quick thinking, they are able to save the dog's life.
The episode concludes with the Heartland Docs checking in on a horse with a pre-existing leg injury, which is hampering the animal's mobility. The veterinarians work closely with the horse's owner to create a course of treatment that will provide the horse with the best possible outcome.
