Heartland Docs, DVM season 4 episode 14, titled "The Plot Chickens," follows veterinarians Dr. Ben and Dr. Erin as they continue to provide care to animals in their community. In this episode, the doctors receive a call from a local farmer who is experiencing issues with his free-range chickens. As they arrive on the farm, Dr. Ben and Dr. Erin discover that the chickens have been getting into the garden and eating the vegetables.
Throughout the episode, the Heartland Docs work to diagnose the problem and come up with a solution. They examine the chickens and determine that they have a parasite that is causing them to become more adventurous and lead them into the garden.
