Ep 1. ... And a Time to Die

In the season 3 premiere episode of Hawaii 5-0 titled "And a Time to Die", the team investigates a murder of a wealthy businessman who was found dead in his home. As they begin to delve deeper into the case, they discover that the victim may have been involved in shady dealings with a notorious gang known as the Yakuza.

Meanwhile, Steve McGarrett (played by Alex O'Loughlin) is dealing with personal issues as his mother, who he thought had died years ago, suddenly resurfaces in Hawaii. As he tries to come to terms with her return, he also must confront his feelings for Catherine Rollins (played by Michelle Borth), who has just returned to the island as well.

The investigation takes the Five-0 team on a rollercoaster ride, involving car chases, gun fights, and unexpected turns. Along the way, they also receive help from an unlikely source - Detective Lori Weston (played by Lauren German), who has just arrived in Hawaii to work with the team.
