In Haven season 4 episode 2 titled "Survivors," Audrey Parker, Duke Crocker, and Nathan Wuornos of Haven are all dealing with the aftermath of events from the previous season. While Nathan is still immune to Audrey's "Troubles," Duke is trying to come to terms with the fact that he's now a "Troubled" person himself. Audrey, meanwhile, is trying to figure out what happened to her when she disappeared into thin air.
The episode starts with a group of Haven residents meeting with a counselor to talk about their shared experience of being stuck in a building that disappeared for several days. As they share their stories, it becomes clear that they are all struggling with the trauma of what they went through. Audrey steps in to help, using her knowledge of the Troubles to help the group understand what they went through and how it is connected to the Troubles that affect Haven.
Meanwhile, Duke is trying to keep his own Trouble under control. He has the ability to absorb other people's Troubles, but he can't control when it happens or what kind of Trouble he absorbs. He's worried that if he can't get a handle on it, he'll end up hurting someone he cares about. He turns to Nathan for help, but Nathan is dealing with his own issues. He's worried that he's lost his immunity to the Troubles, and that he'll end up hurting Audrey like everyone else in Haven.
As the episode progresses, Audrey, Duke, and Nathan all work to help the survivors of the disappeared building. They learn that the building was used by a group of people who were trying to harness the power of the Troubles for their own purposes. The survivors were unwittingly caught up in their plan, and they all paid a heavy price for it. Audrey, Duke, and Nathan work together to help the survivors take control of their lives again, and to put an end to the group that caused their trauma.
Throughout the episode, we see the three main characters struggling with their own issues. Nathan, who has always relied on his immunity to protect Audrey and the rest of Haven, is forced to confront the fact that he may not be immune anymore. Duke, who has always tried to avoid the Troubles, now finds himself experiencing them firsthand. And Audrey, who has always been the one to help others, is now in need of help herself as she tries to understand what happened to her when she disappeared.
In the end, "Survivors" is an episode that explores the theme of trauma and resilience. The survivors of the disappeared building are all struggling with the trauma of what they went through, but with the help of Audrey, Duke, and Nathan, they are able to come together and find a way to move forward. At the same time, the main characters are all forced to confront their own issues and struggles, but they all show resilience and a determination to keep moving forward, no matter what challenges they may face.
