In the third episode of Hatsukoi Limited season 1, titled "Wavering Unbalance," the focus shifts to the character Ayumi Arihara. Ayumi is a shy and introverted girl who struggles to express herself around others, especially boys. She has a crush on one of her classmates, but is too nervous to confess her feelings.

The episode opens with Ayumi walking with her best friend Koyoi Bessho after school. Koyoi notices that Ayumi seems down and asks if something is bothering her. Ayumi admits that she likes a boy in their class, but is too scared to tell him. Koyoi encourages her to be bold and take a chance.

Later, Ayumi is practicing playing the piano when the boy she likes, Tsurumi Risa, enters the room. Ayumi is so nervous that she messes up the music and runs out of the room. Tsurumi notices her running away and wonders what's wrong.

Meanwhile, the other characters are dealing with their own love problems. Misaki Yamamoto is still trying to get closer to her crush Haruto Terai, but he seems oblivious to her advances. Kei Enomoto is having similar challenges with his crush, a girl named Saeki. He tries to ask her out on a date, but she turns him down.

Back to Ayumi, she receives a text message from Tsurumi asking if she's okay. She's overjoyed and starts to think that he might feel the same way she does. Koyoi notices how excited Ayumi is and encourages her to tell Tsurumi how she feels. Ayumi agrees and composes a text message confessing her love.

However, before she can hit send, Tsurumi sends Ayumi another text message explaining that he only wanted to make sure she was okay, as he noticed her nervously running out of the room earlier. Ayumi is heartbroken and deletes the text message she was about to send.

Later, Ayumi and Koyoi are hanging out at a park when they run into Tsurumi and his friends. Tsurumi pulls Ayumi aside and asks if she's upset with him. Ayumi denies it and tries to play it cool, but Tsurumi can sense that something is wrong. He tells her that he thinks she's a great person and that he wants to get to know her better.

The episode ends with Ayumi feeling hopeful about her chances with Tsurumi. She realizes that even though she may not be confident around him yet, there is potential for a relationship to blossom.

Overall, "Wavering Unbalance" is a touching episode that explores the struggles of confessing one's feelings and the importance of taking risks in love. It showcases the development of Ayumi's character and serves as a reminder that sometimes the things we fear the most can end up leading us to happiness.
