Ep 9. Beyond Thunder Dot / 10 Things I Hate About Ew

In Harvey Street Kids season 2 episode 9, titled "Beyond Thunder Dot / 10 Things I Hate About Ew," the Harvey Street Crew is in for some wild adventures. In the first half of the episode, Lotta decides to take up drumming and becomes so passionate about it that she accidentally causes a thunderstorm. When Dot sees the storm, she quickly takes it upon herself to investigate the cause, leading her to the other side of the neighborhood where she must confront her own fears to save her friends.

In the second half of the episode, "10 Things I Hate About Ew," the girls are excited to celebrate the birthday of their beloved park caretaker, Old Lady Munson. However, when Munson appoints a new caretaker-in-training, the slightly disturbing and creepy Ew, the Harvey Street Crew isn't so sure they want to trust him. With each of them thinking of ten different things they dislike about Ew, the girls attempt to uncover his true intentions. But as the day progresses and they learn more about Ew, they realize that sometimes our first impressions of people may be wrong.

Both halves of this episode center around character development and overcoming fears. "Beyond Thunder Dot" shows Dot taking a leadership role and conquering her fear of the unknown, while Lotta learns to balance her passions with the safety of her friends. In "10 Things I Hate About Ew," the girls learn the importance of giving someone a chance and seeing beyond their first impressions. With humorous moments and life lessons intertwined, "Beyond Thunder Dot / 10 Things I Hate About Ew" is a strong addition to the second season of Harvey Street Kids.
