Fran is back with another hilarious episode in Happily Divorced season 2 episode 2 titled "Peter Comes Out Again." As its name suggests, the episode revolves around Frankie’s former husband Peter, a character who is not only lovable but always hilarious. The plot is exciting, as Peter reveals that he is gay for the second time, sending shocks across the board as they come to terms with his decision.

The episode starts with Fran eagerly waiting for Peter's arrival after receiving a call from him indicating he has something important to share with her. When Peter finally arrives, it does not take him long before he finally drops the bombshell that he has come out as gay once again. Fran is shocked, but she is quick to offer her full support and help him navigate this new part of his life.

The episode is presented in a funny and light-hearted way that does not make light of the seriousness of Peter's situation. Although it is quite impressive the way the crew manages to send such a positive message of inclusivity and acceptance without making the episode feel preachy. Instead, they utilize comedy to push this message subtly and effectively.

As a result, Peter's coming out prompts a range of reactions from his friends and family. Fran, of course, takes it in stride, and we discover that she had a sneaking suspicion about Peter’s sexuality all along. This is opposed to Peter's close family members who struggle to process the news, particularly his brother and father.

The reactions of Peter's father and brother serve the audience as a window into how some people view the LGBT community. The show does not shy away from the fact that people can be a bit narrow-minded when presented with something new and different. This concept is approached through jokes that are both funny and educational. The audience is thus treated to a show that not only makes them laugh but also teaches them a small lesson on acceptance.

Meanwhile, Peter will try to reconnect with an old college flame, and Fran offers to play a role in playing matchmaker. As they work together to find the right person, they both come to appreciate the importance of sexual self-discovery, an integral part of accepting your identity and being true to oneself.

The episode's supporting cast is excellent, making it all the more enjoyable to watch. Fran’s roommate Judi shines here, as do Fran’s parents, who reveal that they too, have gay friends and relatives and are, therefore, more accepting of Peter's announcement. The episode also features an additional storyline involving Peter's mother's anniversary, where the group gets together to plan for the occasion.

In conclusion, Happily Divorced season 2 episode 2 is an excellent and hilarious representation of the complexities that exist when someone comes out for the second time. The episode manages to be funny without being offensive and educate without being preachy. The writing is sharp and penetrating, and every actor is perfect in their roles, making it a joy to watch from start to finish. The show tackles topics such as acceptance, sexual self-discovery, and the power of a supportive community. If you are looking for a funny and heartwarming show, Happily Divorced season 2 episode 2 is the one to watch.
