Ep 3. E 3

Ohana has continued to make efforts to adjust to her new life at the Kissuiso inn. However, her impulsive behavior and lack of communication skills make her clash with the other employees from time to time.

In episode 3, titled "Balut," Ohana tries to help a guest who seems to be in distress. She discovers that the guest, a Philippine man named Enishi, is actually the son of Kissuiso's owner and has come to check up on his mother's business. Enishi and his mother have a strained relationship due to his wayward past, and he is worried that his mother might sell the inn.

While trying to make Enishi feel at home, Ohana discovers that he has a secret passion for balut, a Filipino delicacy made of fertilized duck eggs. Despite her initial revulsion, Ohana decides to help Enishi fulfill his craving by trying to cook the food herself. However, things take a turn for the worse when the eggs that Ohana orders arrive still alive. Chaos ensues as the employees try to prepare the dish while dealing with the squirming eggs.

Meanwhile, Enishi continues to spy on his mother and the inn's operations, even going so far as to follow her to a meeting with a potential buyer. When he confronts his mother about her intentions, she reveals that she has no intention of selling the inn and that she was simply meeting with the buyer to negotiate for a new sign. Enishi is relieved, but still feels estranged from his mother and the inn.

Through her interactions with Enishi, Ohana comes to better understand the complex relations between the various members of the inn's family. She also learns more about the inn's history and the passion that her grandmother had for the place. In the end, Ohana's efforts to help Enishi bring him closer to his mother and to the inn, and she herself gains a deeper appreciation for her new surroundings.
