He also had a contentious relationship with Jack, and it looks like he may have killed him. However, Danny also has an alibi, and Hamish can't find any evidence that points to him.

As Hamish continues his investigation, he discovers that the solution to the case may be much closer than he thinks. He learns that the lower cast and crew members were not being paid their wages and that Jack had tried to intervene on their behalf. Hamish starts to believe that one of the crew members may have killed Jack.

Hamish narrows down his search and finds out that the killer was someone who had a hidden past, and their motive was solely revenge. The mystery is finally solved when Hamish puts together the pieces of the puzzle and arrests the murderer.
