Ep 1. The Hoshin List

The show HAKYU HOSHIN ENGI follows the journey of a young man named Taikobo who is determined to stop the evil Emperor Dakki and her army of demons from taking over the world. In season 1 episode 1, titled "The Hoshin List", we are introduced to Taikobo and the world he inhabits.

Taikobo realizes that he needs more than just his strength and persuasiveness to convince the immortals to aid him in his quest.

After leaving Tenka, Taikobo meets with another immortal named Ko Hiko who is known for his skills in martial arts. Taikobo hopes that Ko Hiko will be more receptive to his request for help, but again he is met with resistance. Ko Hiko believes that the Hoshin spell will only bring chaos and destruction to the world and refuses to be a part of it.

Feeling disheartened, Taikobo begins to question if he will be able to find all 365 immortals before time runs out. However, he is not the only one on the hunt for the immortals. He soon encounters a group of demon hunters who are also seeking the immortals for their own nefarious purposes.

The episode ends with Taikobo and Sibu being ambushed by the demon hunters and a fierce battle ensues. Taikobo's determination and fighting skills are put to the test as he fights off the attackers and protects Sibu. It becomes clear that Taikobo's quest to find the immortals and stop Emperor Dakki will not be an easy one and he will face many challenges along the way.
