Ep 9. The Sorcerer's Apprentice

The Sorcerer's Apprentice is the ninth episode of the third season of H2O: Just Add Water. The episode begins with Ash and Emma entering the café, where they find that the current situation at the waterhole is terrible, because the water is being contaminated with something very strange. They decide to investigate the matter and try to find the cause behind it.

Meanwhile, Cleo is still struggling with her father's disapproval of her new relationship with Lewis. She is hesitant to tell her father that she and Lewis are dating, but Lewis encourages her to do so. Cleo finally asks her father to invite Lewis over for dinner, which he reluctantly agrees to.

In an attempt to figure out the cause of the contamination at the waterhole, Ash and Emma decide to go to the local library and look through some old books on the town's history. There, they come across a dusty old book called The Sorcerer's Apprentice that catches their attention. It tells the story of a young apprentice to a powerful sorcerer who ended up turning against his master and causing chaos in the town.

As they delve deeper into the book, Ash and Emma begin to suspect that the current contamination of the water might have something to do with the events described in the book. They decide to investigate the whereabouts of the sorcerer's apprentice, who they believe might still be alive and causing trouble in the present day.

Meanwhile, Cleo's dinner with her father and Lewis doesn't go as planned, as her father has invited a family friend's daughter, Charlotte, over to dinner. Cleo becomes jealous of the attention that Lewis is giving to Charlotte, leading to a heated argument between the couple.

The next day, Ash and Emma discover that the sorcerer's apprentice is still alive and living in a secluded cabin in the woods. They decide to investigate, and discover that the sorcerer's apprentice is an old man with a grudge against the town. He tells them that he has been collecting toxic waste and dumping it in the town's water supply as revenge for the way that the townspeople had treated him when he was younger.

With their discovery, Ash and Emma try to come up with a plan to stop the sorcerer's apprentice from causing any more harm to the town. However, when they go back to the cabin to confront him, they find that Charlotte has followed them and is in grave danger. The sorcerer's apprentice has captured her and plans to use her as leverage against the town.

With the help of Lewis, Cleo, and Rikki, Ash and Emma come up with a plan to rescue Charlotte and stop the sorcerer's apprentice once and for all. They use their powers to create a strong gust of wind that knocks the sorcerer's apprentice off his feet, giving them the opportunity to free Charlotte and put an end to the contamination of the water.

In the end, Cleo's father finally accepts her relationship with Lewis and the two share a touching moment together. Meanwhile, Charlotte apologizes to Cleo and thanks Ash and Emma for saving her life. The episode ends with the group walking away from the cabin, relieved that the town is safe once again.
