Ep 12. Crime & Punishment

Emma is feeling uneasy after discovering that her necklace isn't working properly anymore, which means that the girls will all soon transform into mermaids in front of the entire school. Meanwhile, Cleo and Rikki have to deal with a situation at the café where they work, as a thief who has been stealing from the cash register for weeks has finally been caught. Determined to make him pay for his crimes, they decide to take matters into their own hands and devise a plan to get their money back.

But their plan goes awry when the thief turns out to be a desperate young man named Will, who has resorted to stealing to help his sick mother pay for medical bills. The girls are torn between wanting to help him and needing to punish him for his actions, and their conflicting emotions only make things worse. As they struggle to find a solution, they also have to deal with the consequences of Emma's revelation about their powers, which threatens to expose all their secrets to the world.

With tensions running high and the stakes getting higher, the girls have to work together to navigate the challenges of growing up and coming of age as mermaids.
