Ep 7. In Hot Water

Cleo, Rikki and Emma are back for another exciting episode of H2O: Just Add Water in a brand new adventure surrounding the challenges of their mermaid existence. This time, our favorite trio finds themselves in hot water, literally, as they struggle to stave off the harsh affects of the sun's rays on their new found powers.

The episode opens with the three mermaids lounging on the rocks by the ocean, soaking up the sun and chatting about their lives as they bask in the warmth. Suddenly, Cleo notices that her legs are feeling weird, and realizes that she's starting to transform back into a human! Meanwhile, Lewis is trying to keep up with the girls by piloting his underwater scooter, but he's having a hard time keeping up as they navigate through the twists and turns of the maze.

Eventually, the girls find their way to the end of the cave, where they discover a hidden grotto filled with glowing crystals that give off a cool, calming energy. They take a dip in the grotto and instantly feel better, as the crystals seem to be shielding them from the sun's harmful rays.

Just when they think they've found a solution to their problem, they're confronted by Zane, who's come looking for Rikki. He tries to convince her to come back to work at the juice bar, but she's not interested. In the scuffle that follows, the girls unknowingly break one of the crystals in the grotto, causing a chain reaction that sets off a trap and causes the grotto to collapse.

As the girls try to escape the collapsing grotto, they realize that they can't just swim away, because they need to stay under the cover of the cave walls to avoid the sun's rays. They have to work together to find a way out, using their mermaid powers to create a path through the rubble and avoid the dangerous obstacles that keep popping up.

In the end, the girls make it out of the grotto alive, but they're still struggling with the effects of the sun. However, they have a newfound appreciation for the power and beauty of the ocean, and they vow to do everything they can to protect it and their mermaid powers.
