Ep 19. The Gracie Code (1)

Emma discovers that she has a long-lost cousin named Gracie, who comes to visit her in town. While having fun with Gracie, the three mermaids sense that something strange is going on with her. Gracie is constantly frightened and thinks that bad luck always comes to her, but it turns out that her fears are not unfounded. Meanwhile, Zane starts working on a project for school to develop a new surfboard, and he solicits Rikki's help. Unable to resist his charm, Rikki agrees to assist him, much to Emma and Cleo's chagrin. However, their relationship takes a turn for the worse when Rikki discovers that Zane is using her for his own gain. In the meantime, Emma struggles to help Gracie overcome her irrational fears, but she finds it difficult to understand her cousin's state of mind. As they become more and more involved in Gracie's life, they soon come to realize that Gracie is apparently haunted by some sort of supernatural power, which seems to affect her subconsciousness. The girls soon find themselves struggling to uncover the mysterious forces behind Gracie's fears, while also having to combat their own emotional turmoil.
