Ep 8. The Denman Affair

Cleo and Emma are excited about the upcoming dance at school, but Rikki is feeling left out because she doesn't have a date. Meanwhile, the girls are keeping a close eye on Miss Denman, their formidable science teacher, who seems to be taking a keen interest in their activities.

When Miss Denman invites the girls to her house for a night of stargazing, they decide to accept the invitation, hoping to find out what she's up to. At first, everything seems innocent enough, but when the girls discover a mysterious machine in Miss Denman's backyard, they realize that she's been keeping an eye on them in more ways than one.

With the help of Lewis, they sneak into Miss Denman's lab and try to destroy the machine, but they're caught in the act and have to escape through a secret passageway. Meanwhile, Cleo is dealing with her own problems at the dance, when her crush, Byron, turns out to be more interested in Emma.

In the end, the girls are able to thwart Miss Denman's plans and save the mermaids, but the experience has left them shaken and more determined than ever to protect their secret. As they continue to discover the extent of their powers, they learn that being a mermaid is not just about having fun, but also about embracing their responsibilities and facing their greatest challenges head-on.
