Ep 2. Pool Party

Emma, Cleo, and Rikki are getting used to their new powers as mermaids. They experiment with their abilities, but also realize that it can be difficult to keep their secret hidden. Lewis is eager to help the girls while he learns more about their powers and the mystical Moon Pool.

In episode 2, the girls are invited to a pool party hosted by the most popular boy in school, Zane Bennett. The girls are hesitant at first, worried that they might not be able to keep their secret hidden if they're around so many people.

Lewis sees the party as a great opportunity to gather information and decides to go along with the girls. He's also hopeful that he might be able to get closer to Cleo.

At the party, Zane takes notice of the girls and takes a special interest in Rikki. Zane tries to flirt with Rikki, but she's not interested. Meanwhile, Cleo's crush, Byron, is also at the party. Cleo tries to catch Byron's attention while keeping her mermaid powers a secret.

Things take a turn when Emma accidentally falls into the pool and her powers are revealed. The rest of the party-goers are in shock as they realize that the girls are mermaids. Zane is intrigued and tries to get the girls to reveal more about their powers, but they manage to escape before things get out of hand.

The girls are upset and worried about how they're going to keep their secret now that so many people know. They also feel guilty about not being able to help Lewis when he was trying to fend off Zane's questions.

Later on, the girls are able to regroup and come up with a plan to divert attention from their mermaid abilities at school. They decide to pretend that they're part of a synchronized swimming team and start practicing.

At practice, they run into Charlotte Watsford, a new student who takes a special interest in the girls. Charlotte soon reveals that she knows their secret and that she also has powers of her own.

The episode sets the stage for the rest of the season, with the girls struggling to keep their secret hidden while balancing their relationships and everyday life. It also introduces a new character who's set to cause trouble for the mermaids.
